The Master cleanse fast by Stanley Burroughs lemonade diet with lemon, maple syrup and cayenne
The master cleanse is a mixture between a 'food fast' and a 'pure water fast'. The way it is designed, most people can do this cleanse without problems.
Master cleanse consists of fresh lemon juice, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper mixed with water and drunk every 2 hours a day and no other food is consumed.
This regimen that can be followed for 10 days, and may also be safely extended to 40 days, depending upon a persons physical condition. It's a great way to loose weight with minimal detox symptoms.
The Master Cleanser program is built around the idea of a therapeutic fast. A lemonade drink consisting of Fresh Lemon Juice, Cayenne Tincture or Powder, Organic Maple Syrup and Water.
How to do the Master Cleanse
PREPARATION: Be sure to pass the PH test before starting any fast.
The drink is freshly made each time as follows:
* Juice of 1 fresh lemon (30ml)
* 2 Tablespoon. Organic Maple Syrup (30ml)
organic Black Strap Molasses may be used only in the event Maple Syrup is not available.
You can also use fresh Sugar Cane Juice instead of water and maple syrup.
* 2-15 drops of liquid Cayenne Tincture (at least 90,000 Heat Units) depending on strength. Alternatively 1/10 th teaspoon Cayenne Pepper Powder can be used in place of Cayenne Tincture. Please note Cayenne Pepper Powder will either float or sink to the bottom of each glass. Liquid Cayenne Tincture is best to use as it will stay in solution.
* 250 ml of hot distilled or filtered water
Heat distilled or filtered water using a stove. Squeeze the fresh lemon and add juice into water. Add the Grade B* Maple Syrup and Cayenne Tincture or Powder. Mix often as you drink it to evenly suspend the cayenne pepper if you use the pepper powder. You may use Cayenne Tincture in place of Cayenne Powder. This way you don't have to keep stirring to keep the powder in suspension.
You may drink as many glasses per day as you desire but always drink a minimum of at least six glasses.
*Grade B maple syrup is a dark amber, unrefined maple syrup with all many trace minerals. This syrup grade is not filtered or preserved with formaldehyde as most processed sugars are and has a rich full maple taste with caramel-like overtones. If unavailable ask your health food store to order it for you because this grade of maple syrup is best for this program.
You may also use organic Black Strap Molasses in place of organic Maple syrup. Always use Maple syrup if available as this will yield best results.
Eat NO FOOD on the Master Cleanse program. Also avoid all supplements. You may drink peppermint tea and as much water as you wish. The Master Cleanser fast may be continued for up to 40 days or as directed by your health care advisor but usually fasting for this length of time is unnecessary. Most cleansing occurs within the first two weeks.
The Master Cleanser drink has no fiber for elimination, so to be able to go to the toilet every day Stanley also recommends to take a laxative tea with Senna at night and do a salt water flush in the morning (2 tsp Sea Salt in 1 ltr of water). Which will give you a watery stool.
For those who can absolutely not handle the Senna (cramps) and Salt water, we recommend to use Oxy-powder to help to remove the waste as it is being shed from the colon wall and the waste that is being removed by the liver. Oxy Powder is a gentle non-habitforming colon cleanse that will give you a good liquid stool., which otherwise may stay in the bowels leading to tiredness, headaches and other detoxification symptoms.
Signs to stop fasting are either the clearing up of the tongue to a healthy pink color or very strong food cravings for healthy food (salads etc).
This cleanse helps to:
-Dissolve and eliminates toxins and congestion that have formed in any part of the body
-Cleanses the kidneys and the digestive system
-Purifies the glands and cells
-Eliminates all unusable waste and hardened material in the joints and muscles
-Builds a healthy blood stream
-Helps eliminate excess body weight
Fasting for 1-2 days a month on this drink can be very cleansing and rejuvenating.
Going Off the Fast
First Day: Start with 1/8 litre fresh squeezed orange juice mixed with water. If it goes well, drink several more 1/4 liter glasses of fresh orange juice during the day. Sip slowly. Dilute with water if needed.
Second Day: Drink several 1/4 litre glasses of orange juice during the day -- with extra water, if needed.
In the evening make a vegetable broth (no canned soup). Use seasonal leafy and root vegetables such as: beets and beet tops, turnips and turnip greens, kale, carrots, onions, parsley, celery, potatoes, okra, one or two ends of legumes, squash, beans, a little salt, cayenne pepper and dehydrated vegetables or veg. powder may be added for flavour (no MSG or hydrolyzed protein).
Cook lightly. Drink the broth, eating only a few bites of the vegetables.
Third Day: Orange juice in the morning. At noon have some more soup with some of the vegetables. No meat, fish, eggs, bread, pastries, tea, milk, or coffee. For Dinner, have the vegetables in the soup.
Fourth Day: Orange juice or lemon and maple syrup in the morning. Fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts for lunch. Salad or fruit for dinner.
Fifth Day: Eat normally but no junk food, dairy, tea, coffee, white flour or white rice, heavy animal proteins. If, after eating is resumed, distress or gas occurs, go back to the Juices for a few days until the system is ready for food.
The 'Shanti' Master Cleanse
A varietion to the above is the 'Shanti' Master Cleanse.
This form gives you a much deeper detox much faster. Hence it is not needed to stay as long on the cleanse.
It is not so much for weight loss as the original cleanse but more for a good detox. Mind you most people also loose between 2kg and 6kg.

Day 1-3:
Have a raw fruit/veg/greens shake for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Mix 1 flat tsp. of AIM Herbal Fiberblend (colon cleanser) and 10 drops of ZeoNutrient (to remove heavy metals and environmental toxins) in your breakfast and lunch shake
Take 4 or more Oxy Powder at night last thing before you go to sleep with one glass of Peak endurance.

Day 4-11:
Have a original master cleanse drink every 2 hrs. ( 30ml lemon, 30ml maple syrup, Cayenne pepper as much as you can handle, plus add 5 drops of Zeonutrient) up to 6 times a day.
Have a water enema followed by a coffee enema in the morning.
Mid-morning and mid-afternoon: drink 1 heaped tsp. of Herbal fiberblend in a glass of water
Take 4 or more Oxy powders at night last thing before you go to sleep with one glass of Peak endurance.
If you do feel really hungry you can have a celery/carrot/beetroot/greens juice.
Day 12-14:
For breakfast and lunch: Have a raw fruit/veg/greens shake
Open 10 capsules of Flora Food (Probiotics) and add it to the shake.
Have a raw salad for dinner.
If you feel you are not going to the toilet enough you can have a mid-morning and mid-afternoon drink of 1 flat tsp. of Herbal fiberblend.
